July 25th Hogle Zoo

I made Jennifer a couple of baby quilts left from the scraps I had from Kristins quilt. Then Abbee turned "8" so I had to make her a birthday quilt. She said her favorite colors were pink and black or purple and black. I liked the pink and black. I hope she likes her birthday quilt. We are excited to go to her baptism this Saturday.

Baylee, Abbee, Kalyssa and I had a fun day at the Hogle Zoo a week ago Monday. It was a little hot, but pretty fun. The new dinosaurs around the zoo were great. The girls all had blue snow cones and after we left the zoo we had lunch at Chuck O Rama buffet. They loved being able to pick whatever they wanted to eat, and as much as they wanted. I think we all had a fun day.

Hayden, Tiff and Jon came to see us for the weekend. We had a great time. Hayden had fun at Willow Park seeing the animals and playing at the playground. We ate at Chick a filet, it was the Paul's first time to eat there. We had tin foil dinners one night, poor Jon, his was a burnt offering and he still choked it down with lots of ketchup. Tiff helped by teaching a CTR 7 class that has no teacher and Hayden helped grandpa sweep the shop. Jon also helped grandpa tarp some hay just before the biggest down pour I have ever seen hit. There was pea size to marble size hail and tourents of rain. The whole drive way was a river in minutes. It was amazing. We went out on the porch to watch, until the lightening hit so close it chased Tiff back into the house. It was a great weekend with the Paul's!

Camping on the 4th of July

First just wanted to share a rainbow over our place last week. It seems we are still having crazy weather. It was a full rainbow, but I could not get it all in my camera.

A few of us went camping this weekend. We had a really good time. We went up dry canyon just up the road from out house. It got a little hot, but for the most part it was just right. We did not have any trouble with bugs either. I was sure the mesquitos would eat us alive. Any way, hope you enjoy pictures from the weekend.

Ok, so that worked. I got a picture of Russ on there, amazing. Now I want to try to add Brandon's family when they came for a little Sunday dinner. It was raining and finally the clouds broke we went outside and the kids got a ride on Grandpa's new four wheeler cart he has been working on.

I never write on this thing, so anyone who might be interested in reading this will be really surprised. I have been trying to get the camp trailer ready to go camping next weekend. It is hot and I am tired of working on it. Russ and Kirt are riding cows, so I thought I would see if I could update this blog. Kristin is not here to help me, so who knows if it will work or not. I am going to try to add some new pictures. Here we go.
